Is Your Business Really Green?
Have you been trying to make your business into an eco-friendly business? I hope so because there are a lot of benefits to having a green business. Reduced costs, stronger customer loyalties and a clear conscience are a few of those benefits. You may be nodding your head in agreement because you’re implementing a lot of green things into your business. You recycle your electronics and turn off computers when they aren’t in use. But is your business truly green? If the businesses that you work with aren’t also green then you’re not doing as much as you can to truly be a completely green business.
Do you use colocation or dedicated server hosting for your business? If so, is your host provider using energy-saving methods of cooling down the servers to reduce waste? How about the people that you get business deliveries from? Are they using vehicles that get good gas mileage and have reduced emissions? When you hire a catering company for events do you make sure that they use locally-produced and organic foods? If you think that you’re being green but you haven’t started working solely with green businesses then you need to take things up to that next level.

Is it really less expensive? I mean, I can see how it would be slightly less expensive for monthly maintenance, especially if its more energy efficient, but isn’t the initial changeover expense considerable? I’ve always been put off changing over because of this.
I am a big fan of everything being green, green, green. Why would we not protect our earth and our selves, and probably save some money while we’re at it? It’s a total no brainer. Great post!
I think this whole “green fad” is totally over rated. I mean, the world has been working fine for how many years before all these hippies came along, and it will keep turning for years after. Get over yourselves, you’re just trying to make people buy more consumer products!
You’re talking about saving money, but at the same time, things like local and organic caterers are unbelievably expensive. Are you advocating saving money or going green? In my business, they’re mutually exclusive.
