Be Creative This Halloween
Halloween is a month away and my husband and I are scheming to determine what we will wear to our annual Halloween bash. Considering all of our options and finding the perfect couples costumes takes planning and conniving to ensure no one comes up with the same idea. We don’t want to spend money and time creating a look and then walk into the party to see the same theme on another couple.
We try to stay away from the typical Halloween back up plan costumes. We shy away from the doctor and nurse costume, the dog and cat costume, the Luke Skywalker and the darth vader costume. We like to find an outfit that is original, funny and more obscure but shows our unique sense of humor. Our friends seem to rotate the same ideas year in and year out but we pride ourselves on coming up with something different each year.
This year, to honor our political interests and to bring forth the election of 2008, we are working on something to pay homage to the Electoral Process. We toss around ideas like Barack Obama and John McCain costumes but that seems average. We are aiming for distinctive, creative and never seen before funny.
