Online is for Everything
On a weekly basis I drive past a pawn shop in New York City . I pass many stores and have never really paid close attention to this particular shop. One day, however, seeing the pawn shop unexpectedly got the dusty cogs in my brain working and suddenly I was inspired to take a necklace I never wear and sell it with an online pawn shop . This necklace is not my style what so ever and I knew that I would not plan on wearing it. I spent time creating my listing which included setting it up as if on display for a catalogue, taking a photo, uploading the photo, and creating a page of verbiage. It was quite fun. I felt like a retailing tycoon and an advertising giant all wrapped up in one experience.
The idea to sell gold for cash suddenly seemed fascinating. I dug deeper in my jewelry box and found an entire collection of items at which I am tired of looking. I am having so much fun listing my sales and watching the seemingly free cash roll in for items I don’t even want. The only sad thought lingering is: what I am going to do when I run out of items to sell?
