How Your Cat Knows You Care
People who prefer cats to dogs often say that it’s because cats are not nearly as needy as dogs are. It’s true that your cat can spend a lot of time on his own without being bothered about it. Still, it’s important for cat owners to realize that their cats do want to be played with and treated well. It’s important to let your cat know that you care about him.
To accomplish this, you simply need to spend a little bit of your time giving your cat some attention. You should play with your cat. Get fun cat toys and get down on the floor with your cat now and then to play with him. Interactive cat toys are great for cats to play with alone but sometimes your cat just wants to bat around a toy ball or feather with you.
Also make sure that you spend time around your cat. While it’s fair to say that cats do fine when left alone, it’s not at all fair to leave them alone all of the time. If you have a cat that likes to cuddle then he’ll demand that attention but if not then you should make sure that you put in some effort to hang out in the same rooms as your cat so that he knows you’re there and you love him.
