Fly Fishing in the Georgia Waters

You don’t even have to live far away to have the chance to go on a fly fishing trip. At least if you’re living in Atlanta. There are trips you can go on that are led by various Georgia fly fishing guides. Only a couple hours away, you can get away for the day and catch fish as well. These trips include expeditions into the Toccoa River. There, you can try a hand at fly fishing either by boat or by just wading in the river. If the river isn’t your thing, you can travel through the Chattahoochee National Forest to get to Lake Blue Ridge or Lake Nottley.

These places offer some of the best opportunities for trout fishing Georgia. Set in beautiful natural settings, take time to explore the wilderness and breathe the fresh air. If you like the Toccoa River enough, there has been a lot of development around there. There are concerns about overdevelopment harming the ecology, but you can also have a chance to live there too. Then, you could fly fish every day if you want to. If you’re still working in a big city, like Atlanta though, it could be a tough commute back and forth every day.
