Options for Places to Stay on Vacation
People who go on vacation almost always just book a typical hotel room through an online travel portal and that’s the extent of their accommodations planning. However, there are actually a lot of other options for places to stay during a vacation.
Some travel accommodations options include:
- Apartments. Popular vacation spots like Tampa make it easy to get a Tampa apartment or Tampa condo rental for just the short duration of a vacation. There are apartments for rent in Tampa all along the beach specifically for this purpose.
- Youth hostels. Despite the name, people of all ages stay in these affordable lodgings where bathrooms are shared. They make it easy to meet other travelers!
- Home swaps. You have a home in Tampa and you want to vacation in San Francisco; swap your home with a San Francisco resident who wants to stay in Tampa during the same time.
- Camp sites. Camping is always a great alternative to staying in a hotel.
- Volunteer sites. Various places offer free lodging to people who will volunteer some time with their programs during a vacation. This can be a great unique way to travel.
The thing is that there’s nothing wrong with hotels but it’s good to know that they aren’t the only option for staying somewhere during a trip.
